one of my Girl Scouts put this recipe in our cookbook. I haven't tried it. i suppose you could convert it into a jar mix with directions to add the wet "stuff' later ( not sure about this)
cowboy cookies
combine and set aside:
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
blend:
1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
add and mix well:
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
combine flour mixture with shortening mixture.
stir in:
1 (6oz) pkg chocolate chips
1 cup coconut (optional)
1/2 cup nuts (optional)
dough will be crumbly. drop by tablespoonful onto greased cookie sheet. bake 12 -15 min. at 350 degrees
