Recipe(tried): Meat Pie
Misc. I love this family recipe for my moms meat pies. It is especially good drenched in butter after baking. It is also very easy to make. 1 box of Pillsbury Hot Roll Mix. Peel and Skin potatoes. Cut up into 1/4" cubes. Dice up a onion. Cut and cube a sirloin steak.(Around 2lbs. of Sirloin). Make hot roll mix according to package. Roll out to stretch over a pie dish...you want enough to be able to tie a knot over the pie when filled. Mix all the other ingrediants with some salt and pepper. Divide mixture to make enough for two meat pies. Fill and tie knots in them . Lay flaps on top. Bake in a 350 degree oven covered for 1 hour , uncover and bake until browned on top. Serve hot with butter! Very Good. Note: Make sure potatoes are not wet! You want them dry. Enjoy!
