Recipe: Meatloaf in the Round (topped with tomato sauce and Cheddar, 1970)

2 lbs. ground beef
1 1/2 cups (6 oz.) shredded Cracker Barrel Brand Sharp Natural Cheddar Cheese, divided use
2 cups soft bread crumbs
1 egg
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup (8 oz. can) tomato sauce (for topping)
Combine meat, 1 cup cheese, bread crumbs, egg, celery, onion and seasonings; mix lightly. Shape into 9-inch round loaf in baking dish.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour; pour off drippings. Pour tomato sauce over meat; sprinkle with remaining cheese. Continue baking 15 minutes.
Makes 8 servings
