Recipe(tried): Mexican Chicken

Hello to all members. This is my first time to post a recipe so hope I do it ok. I have made this a lot and hope you try it. I got this recipe from a church cook book

Mexican Chicken

1 (2-3 lb) chicken
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 can Rotel tomatoes
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. chili powder
1 onion, chopped
2 cups American cheese, grated
1 medium pkg. Doritos corn chips, crushed

Cook chicken in unsalted water. Remove skin and bone. Cut in small cubes; reserve 1 cup broth. Place soup, tomatoes, garlic salt, chili powder, broth, onion and 1/2 of cheese into 2 quart saucepan. Heat until cheese is melted, Remove from heat and add chicken and Doritos. Pour into baking dish and place rest of cheese on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes.

PS: Do not overcook for it will be to dry
