Recipe: Oatmeal Cooked in Milk with Variations

Breakfast and Brunch
OATMEAL COOKED IN MILK WITH VARIATIONS

1 tsp salt
2 cups milk
2 cups water
2 cups Quaker Oats, uncooked (quick or old-fashioned)

Add salt to milk and water in saucepan; bring to a boil.

FOR FLAKY OATMEAL:
Stir in oats. Cook 1 minute for quick oats, stirring occasionally. Cook 5 minutes or longer for old fashioned oats. Cover pan, remove from heat and let stand a few minutes.

FOR CREAMY OATMEAL:
Stir in oats. Bring to a boil and cook as above.

FOR CHOCOLATE OATMEAL:
Use 2 cups chocolate dairy drink in place of milk in above recipe. Cook as directed.
