Recipe: Old-Fashioned Vanilla Wafer Pudding (using evaporated milk) (Carnation, 1974)

OLD-FASHIONED VANILLA WAFER PUDDING

24 to 28 vanilla wafers, divided use
1 (4 servings size) package vanilla pudding and pie filling mix (not instant)
1 cup undiluted Carnation Evaporated Milk
1 cup water

Line a 1-quart casserole with 12 to 14 vanilla wafers.

Combine vanilla pudding and pie filling mix with evaporated milk and 1 cup water in saucepan. Cook according to package directions.

Pour half of pudding mixture into wafer-lined casserole. Top with 12-14 more vanilla wafers. Cover with remaining pudding mixture. Chill before serving.

Makes 4-6 servings
