ORANGE BUTTER COOKIES DIPPED IN CHOCOLATE
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. grated orange peel
FOR THE CHOCOLATE GLAZE:
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter
3 tbsp. light corn syrup
In a large bowl beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
Blend in vanilla and egg.
Combine flour, baking powder, salt and orange peel. Add to butter mixture.
Roll dough into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar to 1/8 to 1/4 inch thickness.
Bake at 350 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
TO PREPARE CHOCOLATE GLAZE:
In a small saucepan over low heat combine chocolate chips, 1/4 cup butter and corn syrup stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat.
Dip 1/2 of each cookie into glaze; shake off excess chocolate.
Place dipped cookies on waxed paper lined cookie sheets. Chill until glaze is set, about 10 minutes.
Makes 6 dozen cookies

I haven't tried this recipe, but if someone doesn't have the exact recipe you're looking for, maybe you can experiment with this one by adding chocolate chips to the cookie batter. I would start with 1 cup chips (mini chips would be good) and adjust from there.
