PEANUT BUTTER CRISPY BARS

1/2 C butter, softened
1/2 C margarine
2/3 C brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 TSP vanilla
1 1/2 C flour
1/2 TSP baking powder
1/2 TSP salt
1/4 TSP soda
4-5 C mini- marshmallows
TOPPING
2/3 C light corn syrup
1/4 C butter
1 pkg. (10 oz.) peanut butter chips 2 TSP vanilla
2 C rice crispy type cereal
2 C salted peanuts
1. In mixing bowl, cream butter, margarine and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
2. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and soda. Add to creamed mixture.
3. Place on bottom of sprayed 9" X 13" pan. Bake at 350- degrees for 12- 15 minutes.
4. Sprinkle with marshmallows and return to oven just until marshmallows puff, about 2-4 minutes. Set aside uncovered, to cool completely.
5. TOPPING: Combine corn syrup, butter, chips and vanilla in large saucepan. Cook and stir over low heat until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. (May be done in microwave.)
6. Stir in cereal and peanuts. Spread warm topping evenly over marshmallow layer. Refrigerate until set. Cut in 30- squares. (Cuts easily if covered with foil overnight, before cutting.)
