rec.food.recipes/Mike and Dian Berryman/2000
Makes 16 brownies
1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese
1/3 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter
1/3 cup sugar
4 eggs, divided
1 pkg. (1 lb. 6.5 oz.) brownie mix with syrup pouch
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray 2-quart Square casserole with nonstick cooking spray.
In small bowl, with electric mixer, combine cream cheese, sugar and 1 egguntil smooth; set aside.
In medium bowl, combine brownie mix, contents of syrup pouch, remaining 3 eggs, the water and oil until well blended; reserve 2 Tbsp. brownie batter.
Pour remaining batter into casserole and microwave on High 5-6 min. until top is still wet in center but sides are set.
Spread peanut butter mixture evenly over hot brownie (mixture will begin to melt). With a fork, carefully swirl reserved 2 Tbs. brownie batter into peanut butter mixture, being careful not to disturb set brownie underneath.
