Recipe: Peanutty Chocolate Chip Banana Bread (food processor)

PEANUTTY CHOCOLATE BANANA BREAD

2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup mashed bananas (2 medium)
1/3 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup peanut butter
1 egg
1/3 cup oil
1/2 cup peanuts, chopped, divided use
1 cup chocolate chips, divided use

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a loaf pan.

Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl; set aside.

Process in a food processor the bananas, buttermilk, peanut butter, oil and egg until blended well. Add to dry ingredients , mixing just until moistened.

Stir in 3/4 cup of the chocolate chips and 1/4 cup of peanuts into batter. Spoon batter into greased loaf pan. Sprinkle the rest of the chocolate chips and peanuts on top of batter.

Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a tester comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan. Cool completely before cutting.

Makes 1 loaf
