Recipe(tried): Pickled sausage
Misc.Pickling sausage is just like the same spices as pickled eggs.
Our last time we pickled sausage,we used a jumbo jar.like the ones that they
sell pickles in.cook your polish sausage for about ten minutes in boiling
hot water.PLace the sausage in the jar.Fill jar 1/4th full of hot water.
In a pan place distilled vinegar, enuff that it would fill the rest of the jar.
Add 1 tablespoon of salt,Add about 6 to 7 bay leaves,Add 7 small red chilies
Add pickling spices which you can fined in the store.Add 1 tablespoon of
onion powder, bring to a low boil.Add it to your sausage jar.Store in the refrig.
for about 4 weeks. This will give you the same tasty sausage's that is sold in some stores. Now that I have told you how our family has made our sausage's
from my grandmother down to us for 35 years.I'm going to make three jars today.
Enjoy your sausage's.
