Recipe: Pizza Burgers with sage - 2 recipes for Pat/MI

Hi Pat :-) I found these two recipes on the internet. I have not tried either one and neither seems to be quite what you are looking for. Maybe someone else will post the exact recipe you are looking for.

PIZZA BURGERS

1/2 lb. ground beef
Onion
Salt
Pepper

1 can tomato sauce
2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. sage

Add to meat and store in refrigerator for 1/2 hour or longer. Spread on half of a hamburger bun and bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes. Makes 24 pizza burgers.

Pizza Burgers
Serves: 12-24

1/2 lb. luncheon meat (Spam? Some recipes call for Spam and, in this recipe "luncheon meat" is not defined.)
1/3 lb. Velveeta Cheese
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. ground sage
1 lb. ground beef
2 1/4 tsp. dried oregano
1 tbsp. dried parsley
12 hamburger buns
4 oz. tomato sauce

Oven: 450 degrees F.

Grind luncheon meat and cheese together.

Brown and drain ground beef. Combine meat/cheese mixture and ground beef. Add remaining ingredients and stir well.

Place mixture on bun halves--24 bun halves with about 1/4 cup mixture on each.

Bake for 10 minutes. Be sure to not burn!
