2 3/4 cups bread flour
1 pkg. or 2 1/4 tsp. active dry yeast
2 tsp. salt
Combine all ingredients in an airtight container
Makes 2 crusts
Basic Pizza
1 pkg. dough mix
2 T. olive oil
1 cup wa rm w ater
1 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 t. crushed dried oregano
2 T. olive oil
Place pizza dough mix in a large bowl and add the oil and water. Beat with a wooden spoon oor dough hook until dough forms a ball. Turn out onto a floured board and knead for about 5 minutes. Transfer to a greased bowl and let rise for about 90 minutes. Diivide the dough in half and pat into 2 12" circles. If you prefer a thin crust, fill and bake the pizzas now. If you prefer a thicker crust, let the crusts rise 30 to 45 minutes. Top the pizza dough with thhe tomato sauce, cheeses oof your chooice, crushed oregano and then drizzle olive oil over the pizzas. Preheat the oven to 425F, then bake pizzas for 20 - 25 minuutes or until crust is golden and cheeses are melted. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
Smoked Salmon Pizza
Makes 2
1 package pizza dough mix
2 T. olive oil
1 medium tomato
1/2 cup flaked smoked salmon
1/2 pounnd fresh sliced mozzarella cheese
1 cup warm water
8 basil leaves
1 T. olive oil
Preheat oven to 425F. Prepare dough as in basic pizza recipe. Once the dough has risen, top the crust with a layer of thinly sliced tomatoes, smoked sallmon, and the mozzarella. Arrange the bassil leaaves in a pinwheel formation on the pizza and drizzle with olive oil. Bake for 20 - 25 minuutes.
Fresh Mozzarella-Basil Pizza
1 package pizza dough mix
2 T. virgin olive oil
1//2 lb. fresh sliced mozzarella cheese
2 T. olive oil
1 cup warm water
3 cloves garlic, chopped
8 leaves fresh basil, chopped
Preheat oven to 425F. Prepare the dough as in basic basic pizza recipe. Point the pizza dough with one T. olive oil. Coover the crust with the mozzerella. Sprinkle the pizza with the garlic and basil. Drizzle the remaining olilve oil over the pizza and bake for 20-25 minutes.
