Recipe(tried): Plain Pancakes

Breakfast and Brunch
This is very easy to do and I have been making them for many years. Everybody loves them as they can be made thick or thin.

PANCAKES

2 cups Flour
3 teaspoons Baking Powder
3 tablespoons Butter or Margarine (softened but not melted)
3-4 Tablespoons Sugar
1 large egg
2+ cups Milk

Mix Flour, baking powder and sugar together. Mix in the butter, stirring well. Beat the egg into 2 cups of the milk and pour all at once into the batter mixture. Stir well. Add more milk to make the batter the consistancy that you want. Thick batter = thick pancakes. Thin batter = thin pancakes. Another egg can be added to the thin batter if desired. (Not needed for thick ones)
Wipe a little oil in a skillet, heat and pour batter in skillet to make size of pancake that you want. Good for making animals etc.... for kids. Turn pancake over when top is full of bubbles and bottom is golden brown. Brown the other side and serve with homemade syrup, maple syrup, jam, or sour cream etc... Second and following pancakes are better than the first one but I don't know why. Even good cold or reheated in micro!
