Just reading about your dillema..I recently heard an article on the radio about the exact same problem- it seems that the "aroma" molecules of fish are larger than many of the air molecules present in the kitchen, (so the fish smells stronger to your nose because the bigger molecules are sensed easier )and therefore you have to introduce an even larger molecule to cover up the smell. Bacon is a good idea, but if you're a veggie like me, try boiling fresh coffee for about 10 minutes, and this should completely wipe out the fishy odour (the coffee might get spoilt, but hey..). I've tried this and it does indeed work!
Good luck!
Good luck!
