Pumpernickel Bread (6)

Pumpernickel Bread
9 oz water
1/4 cup dark molasses
1 tablespoon margarine or butter, softened
2 cups bread machine flour
1 1/4 cups rye flour
2 tablespoons cocoa
2 teaspoons salt
3 1/2 teaspoons regular active dry yeast or
3 1/2 teaspoons bread machine or quick-acting active dry yeast
Bake on Whole Wheat cycle
Daddy's Dark Pumpernickel Bread
This will make a 1 lb. loaf
1 1/4 cup bread flour
2 tsp brown sugar
3/4 cup rye flour
2/3 tsp instant coffee granules
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
2 tsp caraway seeds (opt)
1 tbsp dry milk
1 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp molasses, dark
1 tbsp butter
7 1/2 oz water
3 tbsp cornmeal
1 tsp yeast
Add ingredients to your bread machine in recommended order. In the
Panasonic, add the dry ingredients first, then the liquids. If using
Fleishmans yeast, increase amount!

1 1/4 cups water

3 tablespoons cocoa
1 1/2 tablespoons dry milk
1 tablespoon butter
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon instant coffee
1 1/2 cups bread flour
1 cup rye flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1 pkg active dry yeast
Follow your ABM mfg.'s directions for preparation of this type of bread.

1/2 cup unprocessed whole-bran cereal
1 3/4 cups bread flour
2 tablespoons caraway seed
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
3 tablespoons molasses
1 tablespoon safflower oil
1 1/4 cups warm water
Follow your ABM mfg.'s directions for preparation of this type of bread.

1 1/2 teaspoons brotgewurtz, (a German mixture of anise, fennel, and coriander)
1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon instant coffee
1 tablespoon cocoa
Follow your ABM mfg.'s directions for preparation of this type of bread.
