Recipe(tried): quark cheese

try this:
8 oz quark cheese
2 tbsp snipped chive
1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley
1 small garlic clove, mashed
salt to taste
stir quark in a bowl until smooth ( add a little low-fat milk if to firm), add herbs and garlic and salt, stir.
Serve with baked potatoes, potatoes boiled in their jackets, spread on fresh bread.
Experiment with the herbs: try dill, chevril, basil, minced onion, paprika, curry or what you like.
Here in Germany quark is used much the same as you use cream cheese; in cheese cakes, on bread with a dollop of strawberry jam, mostely in desserts.
