Recipe: Quick and Easy Salisbury Steak

Main Dishes - Beef and Other Meats
Quick and Easy Salisbury Steak
Serves 4

1 lb ground beef
1 egg
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup catsup
1 Tbsp minced onion flakes
2 cups beef gravy (either canned or homemade will work)

Mix first 6 ingredients (not gravy) in a bowl and mix well. Form meat mixture into 4 patties. Brown in frying pan (about 5 minutes on each side). Pour gravy into frying pan. Cook an additional 10 - 15 minutes until steaks are cooked through.

NOTE: This recipe is very flexible. To decrease the fat you can use 1/2 lb of ground beef and 1/2 lb of ground turkey, egg substitute and low-fat milk. Either way it's great and makes a great "comfort meal" for those nights when you need one.
