Recipe: Quick Lunch Box Cake (one bowl, using fruit cocktail)

QUICK LUNCH BOX CAKE

FOR THE CAKE:
2 1/4 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs
1 (16 oz.) can fruit cocktail, undrained
FOR TOPPING:
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Combine all ingredients for the cake; mix well and pour into a greased 13x9-inch baking pan. Sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips on top.

Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 35-40 minutes. Cool in pan, then cut in squares.

Makes 1 (13x9-inch) cake
