Recipe(tried): Re: beer can chicken

Misc.
I use a clay chicken baker (it has a cup formed
in the center that the chicken fits over) from
www.claycoyote.com at least once a week since I
received it a year ago. It has done a great job.
The chicken is moist and juicy. I put it in a
cold oven and cook at 375 for 1 hour, then take
it out, baste it, return to oven and cook 30
minutes more. Ovens vary, therefore time may
vary, but this works for mine. I use butter,
lemon juice and herbs to baste and lemonade in
the cup. This is a great product and I tell
everyone. I do not recommend this for the grill
as I am not sure how the dish will handle the heat from the grill, but it is great for the oven. Randymc
