Recipe: Rum Balls (with variations, including wine)

Desserts - Cookies, Brownies, Bars
RUM BALLS

3 cups vanilla wafer crumbs (about 66 wafers)
1 cup powdered sugar (plus additional for coating balls)
1 1/2 cups finely chopped walnuts
1 1/2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tbsp. white Karo corn syrup
1/2 cup light or dark rum, brandy, bourbon, sherry, or wine

Mix ingredients together. More wafer crumbs or corn syrup may be added as needed to make the right consistency.

Form into small balls. Roll balls in powdered sugar.

Wrap and store in airtight container.

Flavor improves with age. May be frozen.
