Recipe(tried): Sauce Oriental

Sauce Oriental

Ingredients:

1 1/2 tblsp. cornstarch
1 can (11 oz.) mandarin oranges, drained (reserve syrup)
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 tblsp. lemon juice
2 tblsp. dark seedless raisins
1 tblsp. butter or margarine

Directions:

1. Combine cornstarch, reserved orange syrup, maple syrup, and lemon juice in a saucepan; stir until smooth. Add raisins. Bring to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly; boil 3 minutes.
2. Stir in butter and oranges; simmer about 2 minutes.
3. Serve hot with roast chicken, turkey or duck.
