Hi,
I do not have the recipe from a box but from memory ...
Tuna, remember cans are smaller now then back when, be generous
Helmens mayo, only helmens in our house! haha
Peas (frozen & not cooked run under water to thaw is all) opptional for some but not for me!
Onion, chopped
Little bit of very small chopped celery.
hard boiled eggs -- chopped
mix up the above and then fold in ....
Small Macaroni SHELLS pre-cooked & rinsed. She used shells cuz it grabbed more of the filling then the elbows everyone else used, and "bows" were too limp to use effectivly... also, mom did not cool the shells before adding everthing else said it helped to aborb flavor but I think she was just always in a hurry and easy way out!
Add Pepper a bit more then you think it will need salt is opptional but not the pepper.
mix all up well before serving -- so that the macaroni can absorb flavor, even the night before or the morning before serving for dinner
you will need to add more mayo maybe an hour before serving.
ummm maybe i need to make up some of that ....

A key is adding mayo after it has been already made -- that keeps it form being dry.
