Recipe(tried): Self-raising Flour Substitute

Tips and Tricks - Cooking
Dear friend,

This is what i've always used to substitute self-raising flour when i don't have them in hand.

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder

For cake and pastry flour, you would have to mix the following together:

1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup corn starch

it yields 2 cups of cake and pastry flour

OR

put 2 tbsp cornstarch on the bottom of the measuring cup, then fill the tope with all-purpose flour
(it yeilds 1 cup of cake and pastry flour)

I hope the above could help you!
Have a pleasant Valentine's Day!
