Recipe: Sesame Tea Bread (using toasted sesame seeds)

SESAME TEA BREAD

1 (2 1/4 oz.) can sesame seed, divided use
2 1/2 cups flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup milk

Toast sesame seed in oven until lightly golden, about 10 minutes, while preheating oven to 350 degrees.

Stir together flour, baking powder, salt, and 2 tablespoons sesame seed.

Beat together butter, sugar, and eggs until well blended. Stir in flour mixture alternately with milk. Mix until blended. Turn into 2 well-greased 8x4x2 inch loaf pans; sprinkle with remaining sesame seed.

Bake about 45 minutes or until pick comes out clean.
