Shrimp Vermicelli Supreme
2 1/2 to 3 lbs. of cooked, peeled shrimp
1 10-ounce box of vermicelli
1 stick margarine
1/2 cup flour
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup grated Swiss cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper
1 large can sliced mushrooms
1 cup sour cream
Parmesan cheese
Melt margarine; add flour to make paste. Add chicken broth to make thick cream sauce. Add Swiss cheese.
Season with garlic powder and peppers. Stir in mushrooms and sour cream.
Cook vermicelli and spread in a 3-quart casserole. Pour sauce over vermicelli. Cover with Parmesan cheese.
Bake at 350 for 35 to 45 minutes.
