Recipe: Sloppy Joes for a Crowd

SLOPPY JOE FOR A CROWD

2 1/4 pounds ground beef
2 1/2 cups chopped onion
1 cup chopped green pepper
1 bottle ( 14 oz ) ketsup - if you cant find it in NZ search this site as a make at home recipe was posted in the last week or so

on with the recipe....
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup water
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard

Brown ground beef, onion and green pepper in a skillet, drain off excess fat. Combine with remaining ingredients. Put in a large oven - proof Dutch oven.

Bake covered at 325 degrees F 1 1/2 hours. To serve. spoon over toasted hamburger buns.

Makes 16 servings
Sorry I do not know the celcius temp.
