Recipe: Smoothies - 5 flavor variations (blender)
BeveragesSMOOTHIES
"In general, Smoothies are blended drinks that serve as either meals or in-between- meal snacks, depending on the recipe. Smoothies require a blender, a recipe that includes fluid (usually a juice) and about one cup of a fruit or similar food. If using frozen fruit, no ice is needed. However, if using fresh ingredients, you will have to add about three quarters of a cup of ice. When preparing smoothies, first put the juice in the blender, then the fruit, and finally any other additives. Start your blender at low and move up to puree mode. You will need to run your blender for 2 or 3 minutes to complete the smoothie."
