Recipe(tried): Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Desserts - Cookies, Brownies, Bars
CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter or margarine (I use butter)
1/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 small package instant vanilla pudding
2 eggs
2 c. chocolate chips
1 c. nuts (optional)

Cream butter and sugars. Beat in eggs, banilla pudding mix and vanilla until fluffy. Stir in flour and soda until well belnded. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 8 minutes for small cookies or 10-11 minutes for large cookies. These stay soft, even if overbaked. We love them because they are so "vanilla-y".
