Recipe: Spiced Mincemeat Squares (with bran)

Spiced Mincemeat Squares (with bran)

Makes 16 squares

1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/3 cups BLUE BONNET Margarine, softened
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup prepared mincemeat
1 cup Nabisco 100% bran
confectioners' sugar glaze

In small bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and baking soda; set aside.

In medium bowl with electric mixer at medium speed, beat margarine and brown sugar until creamy. Beat in egg. Add flour mixture, mincemeat and
bran. Spread into greased 9x9-inch baking pan.

Bake at 400F for 20-25 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.

Drizzle with Confectioners' Sugar Glaze (confectioner's sugar mixed with small amount of milk until glaze consisitency). Cut into 2 1/4-inch squares. Store in airtight container.
