Recipe(tried): Spiced Pecans
Misc.SPICED PECANS
1 egg white
1 Tbsp. water
1 lb. pecan halves
1 cup sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Grease a baking sheet.
In a mixing bowl, whip together egg white and water until frothy.
In a separate bowl, mix sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
Add pecans to the egg whites, stir to coat nuts evenly. Remove the nuts and toss in sugar mixture until well coated. Spread on prepared baking sheet.
Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes so pecans don't burn. Remove from oven; allow to cool completely. Store in airtight container.
VARIATION:
Add a dash or two of cayenne pepper to the dry ingredients for a little burst of heat.
