Recipe: Spicy Bean Dip

Appetizers and Snacks
Spicy Bean Dip
rec.food.cooking/Jody Oxley

I used this recipe at a football game party a couple of weeks ago, and it went over very well. It does not require heating or advance preparation, so it's a good choice for holiday get togethers.

1 can spicy refried beans (or add cayenne to vegetarian beans to avoid the lard)
1 container sour cream (low fat works great)
1 small can diced green chilies, drained
1 pkg. Original Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing mix (dry)

Mix these ingredients and put into pie plate or other serving dish.

Top with: grated cheese, diced tomatoes, olives, green onions, etc.

Serve with tortilla chips.
