I think the easiest would be to use some cotton string and use a large sewing needle and thread them on the string. Hang them up to dry. Just be sure they are not packed too tightly together as you want them to dry thoroughly so they don't mold.
You could also put them in vinegar to preserve them, but it requires a boiling water bath, canning jars, etc.
