Recipe: Sundae Sauce (using pudding mix) (1965)

SUNDAE SAUCE

"Make it with pudding mix to serve warm or cold over ice cream."

1 package (4 oz.) Jell-O Butterscotch, Chocolate, or Chocolate Fudge Pudding and Pie Filling (not instant)
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup water
I to 2 tablespoons butter

Combine JELL-O Pudding, sugar, and water in a saucepan, blending well. Place over low heat and cook until all sugar is dissolved, stirring constantly. Continue cooking until mixture comes to a full boil. Remove from heat and add butter.

Serve warm or cold on ice cream or pudding.

Makes about 1 cup
