Recipe(tried): Sunday Dinner at Our House - Stupendous Scallops, Marinated Sirloin Steak

Menus
For lunch today we had: Stupendous Scallops, marinated sirloin steak, macaroni and cheese, zipper cream peas, croissants, CLAUSSEN Pickles, pickled beets, sweet tea with lemon, and valentine cookies, bought from a bakery.

This is the first time in a long time that I had cooked scallops, so I just made up the recipe as I went along.

STUPENDOUS SCALLOPS

3 green onions, chopped finely
4 cloves garlic, minced
4 Tbsp. butter
1/2 cup white wine
1 pound fresh scallops, rinsed and patted dry
Old Bay Seasoning, to taste

Place minced garlic and chopped onions in a frying pan. Put the butter and the white wine into the pan. Cook on medium-high heat until onions are translucent. Add the scallops and cook for 5-7 minutes, depending on the size of the scallops. Remove from heat, sprinkle with Old Bay Seasoning and serve with the wine/butter sauce.

MARINATED SIRLOIN STEAK

1 large bottle Hellman's Citrus Splash--Oriental Orange
4 cloves minced garlic
seasoned salt and pepper
2 pounds sirloin steak

Cut the steak into serving pieces. Rinse the meat and pat dry. Place the meat into a ZipLoc bag. Add the Citrus Splash and minced garlic. Marinate overnight, turning the plastic bag over once or twice.

When ready to cook, remove the steak from the marinade and discard. I used the HEALTHY MAVERICK GRILL and grilled the meat for 8-10 minutes or until the meat is no longer pink inside.

Hope you enjoy the recipes and happy Sunday!
