Recipe: Sweetened Condensed Milk Substitute

Sweetened Condensed Milk
Source: Mrs. Dennis Foster, Stamford (Nebr.) Centennial Cookbook

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup warm water
1 cup plus 2 tbsp. powdered milk

Combine all ingredients. Heat to boiling. Cook until thick, about 15 to 20 minutes. Equals 1 can sweetened condensed milk.
