Recipe(tried): Texas Potatoes (hash browns with sour cream)

Susan, This is probably different than b. johnson's from Canada but here is a recipe that I have.

Texas Potatoes

1 bag frozen hash browns, thawed
2 c. sour cream
8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
2 Tbl. melted butter
1 can, Cream of Mushroom soup, undiluted
onions (optional, to taste)

Mix all ingredients together. Spread in a 9X13X2 inch pan or dish. Sprinkle top with crushed corn flakes or cracker or bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 40 minutes or until top is golden and casserole is hot.
