Recipe: The Ultimate Smoked Turkey Club Sandwich
SandwichesTHE ULTIMATE SMOKED TURKEY CLUB SANDWICH
FOR ONE SANDWICH:
3 slices Texas-style (thick) toast
1 tablespoon chipotle barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1/4-inch thick slice smoked turkey (request thick slices at the deli counter)
2 leaves lettuce
2 slices smoked Gouda cheese
3 slices turkey bacon, cooked
2 slices tomato
Toast all three slices of bread.
Combine barbecue sauce and mayonnaise and spread on the toasted bread.
In a frying pan, heat thick-cut smoked turkey slice until golden crisp and warmed through to bring out the flavor.
Layer sandwich with ingredients as listed. Cut on the diagonal "restaurant-style."
VARIATIONS:
For added health benefits, try using whole grain or multi-grain bread. Also, add cucumber or red pepper slices.
