Recipe: Three Bean and Five Bean Salad

These are both very good, quick and easy to make!

THREE BEAN SALAD

1 LB. cut green beans
1 LB. yellow wax beans
1 LB. can red kidney beans
1/2 cup minced green pepper
1/2 cup minced red onion
1/2 cup salad oil
1/2 cup cider vinegar
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Day before: Drain beans; place in bowl. Add pepper and onions. Mix oil and
vinegar with sugar, salt and pepper. Pour over bean mixture. Mix well.
Refrigerate; cover until ready to serve.

FIVE BEAN SALAD

1 can cut green beans
1 can chick peas
1 can peas
1 can kidney beans
1 can lima beans
1 small onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup oil
1 tsp. salt

Drain beans. In a large bowl mix beans, onion and pepper. Add sugar, vinegar, oil and salt. Mix well. Cover and put in refrigerator overnight.
Drain for 20 minutes before serving.
