Recipe: Tomato-Basil Sauce

Misc.
Tomato-Basil Sauce

From: Maureen.Ont

This is fast, easy & economical
Wonderful over linguine or any other pasta

1 large can diced tomatoes
1 medium onion - chopped
salt to taste (I use 1 tsp.)
dried basil - be generous (I use about 1/4 cup)

Put all in pot, bring to boil then simmer until onions are soft. While simmering combine 2 tsp. cornstarch with a little bit of water until smooth. Add slowly to pot, stirring until you get the consistency you like (has to stick to noodles!) Sauce will look whitish at first - but will disappear).
