Recipe: Tomato Paste Ketchup (using tomato paste, canning recipe)

I have this one using tomato paste, so I am sending it. Will look for a tomato sauce one, too.

KETCHUP

One (6-ounce) can tomato paste
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk until smooth.

When mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring often.

Process in a Boiling Water bath for 15 minutes.

Makes 1 1/2 cups.
