Recipe: Tuna Noodle Casserole and Tuna Casserole (using cottage cheese and condensed soup)
Main Dishes - Casseroles TUNA NOODLE CASSEROLE
1 (10 3/4 oz) can condensed cream of onion soup
1 (8 oz.) carton cottage cheese
1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
1 pkg. noodles, cooked and drained
2 cans (7 oz. each) tuna, drained
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Heat (undiluted) onion soup in medium saucepan until warm. Add cottage cheese and sour cream. Stir well. Pour over noodles, stirring well, add tuna. Mix well. Pour into greased casserole dish.
Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until bubbly.
COTTAGE TUNA CASSEROLE
2 cups cottage cheese, divided use
2 cans (7 oz. each) tuna, drained
1 (2 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup (use undiluted)
1/4 tsp. salt
Pepper and garlic salt to taste
Paprika (for top)
Combine 1 cup cottage cheese with rest of ingredients, mixing well. Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole or 8 custard cups or small casseroles. Cover top with remaining 1 cup cottage cheese and a dash of paprika.
Bake at 335 degrees for 45 minutes. Garnish with parsley sprigs.

Here are 2 more versions with soup. The second doesn't have the sour cream or pasta or noodles like the first but you could add them or serve it with them. And in the first, of course, you can sub mushroom soup for the onion soup. Let us know if these are closer.
