Recipe: Tuna or Corned Beef Casserole (Pet Evaporated Milk recipe, 1960's)

TUNA CASSEROLE

1 1/2 cups uncooked broken noodles
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom or chicken soup
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 (6 or 7 ounce) can tuna, drained
1 cup grated process American cheese
1/3 cup cut-up onion
1/2 cup broken potato chips

Cook noodles in unsalted water; drain.

Mix with (undiluted) soup, evaporated milk, tuna, drained, cheese and onion.

Pour into a greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Top with potato chips.

Bake in 425 degree F oven (very hot) 15 minutes, until bubbly hot.

VARIATION:

CORNED BEEF CASSEROLE:
Use 1 (12 ounce) can corned beef, cut up, in place of tuna.

Makes 4 servings
