My parents hosted a bagel brunch last month while I happened to be home. Between my sister and me, we concocted 5 different flavors of cream cheese. I made a vegetable mixture that tasted very good. Here is how I did it:

16 oz. Neufchatel cheese (low fat cream cheese)
milk
1 carrot
1 celery stalk
3 green onions
6 (approx) red radishes
black pepper

Mash the cream cheese in a bowl with a fork, gradually adding milk to reach a spreadable consistency. Finely chop the celery. Thinly slice the green onions. Grate the carrot and radishes. Add all the vegetables to the cheese, along with pepper to taste.

I can't remember if I added any herb--probably did. So, add some dried herb if you like. It was very popular.

My sister made one that I really liked; it was flavored with sun-dried tomatoes which had been soaked and chopped up well. It had a nice tanginess.
