The magazine might have been "Reminisce" dated a month back. Originally from a woman who got the recipe in 1950 in a booklet with a new Hotpoint Stove.
I'm from Medina, and have family and friends in Norton! I miss NE Ohio!
Hope this is it;
VEGETABLE SOUP MEAT LOAF
2 slices white bread, torn
1 (10 1/2 oz) can condensed vegetarian vegetable soup, undiluted
1 small onion
1 egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
In a large bowl, soak bread in soup for 5 minutes. Stir in onion, egg, salt, & pepper. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into 8x4-inch loaf.
Line 11x7x2-inch baking dish with foil & grease the foil. Place meat loaf in pan; top with tomato sauce.
Bake, uncovered, 350 degrees F for 50-60 minutes or until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees F. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
Yield: 6 servings
