Recipe(tried): Vegetarian Chili - recipes a kid can do

Main Dishes - Meatless
I think vegetarian chili is a good dish for a kid old enough to work by the stove. Most of the ingredients are canned so they can do alot of dumping. We like to make a meal of our chili called "Haystacks". On our plate we layer corn chips, cheddar cheese, chili, shredded lettuce, diced tomato. Other toppings are optional like sour cream, salsa, onions... Here is a meal they can cook and assemble themselves!

VEGETARIAN CHILI

1 bag of MSF crumbles, 1 onion, 1 bell pepper, 1 packet of chili seasoning, 2 cans pinto beans, 1 can diced tomatoes. Saute onion and pepper. When onion becomes translucent, add crumbles and chili seasoning. After 2 to 3 minutes, add beans and tomatoes. Simmer for about 20 minutes. YUM!!
