Recipe: Welsh Rarebit Bread (bread machine)

Welsh Rarebit Bread

Modified from Best Bread Machine Recipes (Better Homes and Gardens)

This one is a twist on the usual loaf. We like the mild back bite of the pepper. I modified it to reduce the fat some. You can use oil instead of the butter but we like the butter flavor.

1 cup skim milk
2 teaspoons butter
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
1 cup shredded reduced-fat sharp cheddar cheese
3 cups bread flour
1 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast

Set machine for 1.5-pound loaf, basic cycle, light crust.
