Recipe(tried): We're having a YELLOW party!

For a couple of weeks I've been enchanted with _'s post re: a Purple Birthday Party. Well, my husband's had a lot of overtime lately, so with some of our extra spending money my daughter and I just went to get a bunch of yellow surprises for everyone at dinner tonight.

Menu: macaroni & cheese, a salad with bananas, fresh pineapple and peaches. Also, fresh bread (tinted VERY yellow!) from our ABM, fresh yellow corn on the cob and yellow squash. My daughter picked out potato chips as an "appetizer" so we're tinting ranch dressing with yellow food coloring (it'll probably look like mustard!) We're also tinting 7Up for drinks. For dessert, I had some leftover lemon-pudding-with-ricotta-cheese, so I made up some yellow jellow and when it's syrupy I'll mix them together for a very yellow pie.

Decorations: lots of yellow helium balloons with yellow ribbons, a yellow tablecloth with yellow paper plates, cups & napkins. We picked out yellow roses from the garden, and have yellow candles. Finally, there are yellow plastic (and reusable!) serving dishes.

My favorite part? Why, it's separating out all of the yellow peanut M & M's!!
