Jean, I have made this many times, It may not be what you are looking for but it is delicious.

Yellow Squash Cassarole
2 pounds yellow squash, cut in bite size pieces
1 large yellow onion,chopped
Cook onion and squash in 3 tablespoons melted butter
Drain off extra liquid.
Add the following and mix together and bake at 350
1 can cream of chicken soup
8 ounces sour cream
8 ounce package of Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix

Half of this mixture may be frozen for baking later.
