YOUR OWN STOVE TOP STUFFING MIX
1 cup chicken broth
2 tsp dried minced onion
2 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp dried sage
Salt and pepper to taste
6 tbsp butter or margarine
8 cups large dried bread crumbs or cubes
Heat chicken broth in a saucepan large enough to hold bread crumbs.
Add the seasonings and simmer over low heat for five minutes.
Add butter and stir until melted.
Stir in dried crumbs. Cover and let sit for five minutes.
Fluff with fork and serve.
Tip: If mixture is too dry, more hot chicken broth or hot water may be added in small amounts.
Makes about 6 cups cooked stuffing
